We are looking to recruit to a number of key roles:


Pastoral and Behavioural Assistant
Part time (30hrs 50 minutes per week), term time only
Single status grade 5, points 12-13 (£19,171-£19,554 pro rata)

We are looking for a Pastoral and Behavioural Assistant to join our Pastoral Team here at King Offa Primary Academy.  The role of the Pastoral and Behavioural Assistant forms part of the Pastoral Team, which works to ensure that our most vulnerable pupils achieve their potential – through highly effective Nurture, pastoral and behavioural support. The role contributes to the effective pastoral care of all pupils and promotes high expectations and standards of behaviour in school.

The Pastoral Team is led by the school’s Pastoral Manager, who reports directly to the SENCO, and comprises of Nurture staff, Pastoral and Behavioural Assistants. The team also liaises closely with the school’s Attendance Officer and other external agencies.

Key duties will include:

  • Supporting the learning of small groups of individuals, with a varying range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with pupils and colleagues, parents and carers
  • Be committed to the school’s ethos of Nurture and lead small group and individual sessions, under the direction of the Pastoral Manager and SENCO.
  • Promote the positive behaviour of all pupils, in the classroom, whilst in Nurture and on the playground, and when and where appropriate, use strategies to manage behaviour effectively, including through 1:1 and small group support.
  • Promote the acceptance and inclusion of all pupils, including those who are disadvantaged, with SEND or other behavioural issues, encouraging pupils to interact with each other in an appropriate and acceptable manner.
  • Carry out and report on systematic observations of pupils, to gather evidence of their knowledge and progress, understanding and skills, upon which the teacher makes judgements about their stage of development.

Due to the growth of our school, we are looking to appoint a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant (TA2) to join the staff team.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting the learning of small groups and individuals, with a varying range of learning needs and abilities, including those pupils with Education Health Care Plans (EHCP’s)
  • Establishing and maintain effective relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Being committed to improving standards for all pupils
  • Being an exemplary role-model for behaviour with a sound work ethic
  • Assisting colleagues with the preparation of learning and classroom resources
  • Promoting the positive behaviour of all pupils, in the classroom and on the playground, and when and where appropriate, use strategies to manage behaviour effectively
  • Providing a safe learning  environment for all pupils, built on mutual respect
  • Promoting the acceptance and inclusion of the pupil(s) with SEN, encouraging pupils to interact with each other in an appropriate and acceptable manner

King Offa Nursery is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic practitioner to join our Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ nursery. This exciting new opportunity will enable King Offa to provide additional sessions for children intending to enrol at our fantastic nursery, as well as offer a practitioner the amazing opportunity to work within an ‘Outstanding’ Early Years team. Aurora Academies Trust operates four nurseries at its schools in Bexhill and Eastbourne, all are rated good or outstanding by Ofsted.

We are looking for:

  • A term time position for a talented practitioner – preference for under two experience is desired but not essential.
  • Someone committed to providing the very best opportunities for our children
  • A team member with good communication skills and a clear vision for excellence to contribute to our Outstanding nursery status
  • Qualified Nursery Practitioner with baby lead experience.
