Teaching Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join King Offa Primary Academy and help us on our journey to Outstanding. Our school has transformed in recent years and we are looking for additional staff to join our talented and dedicated team.

The role of teaching assistants has changed greatly in the last few years and we are looking for talented individuals who are committed to supporting pupils with their learning.

The successful candidates will:

  • Have experience of supporting children in a classroom environment
  • Be effective at establishing positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Have good English and Maths skills
  • Be able to work as part of a team and on their own
  • Have high expectations of themselves, colleagues and pupils
  • Be willing to undergo training and be keen to develop their skills

Nursery Practitioner 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Aurora Academies Trust (AAT) nursery team. AAT operates four nurseries linked to its schools in Bexhill and Eastbourne. They are all rated as ‘good’ or better by Ofsted and all are oversubscribed. We are now looking for talented Nursery Practitioners to join our staff teams in Eastbourne and Bexhill so we can offer places to more children.

Each nursery has its own unique identity and character but work closely together to ensure the best possible standard of provision. With over 200 children and more than 25 staff in our nurseries there are real opportunities for career progression and training is at the heart of all we do.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.

From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
