Head of School weekly update 20.5.22

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to this week’s update.

Firstly, I would like to share that the pupils at King Offa work incredibly hard, not just this week but every week. It is important to celebrate the achievements of the pupils and share with you the wonderful things that the children participate in and contribute to. Year 2 children have been extra busy with their KS1 SATs and have worked super hard this week, thank you and well done in advance.

We have a busy week to look forward to… as you are aware, we will be celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee; teachers and pupils alike have been busy preparing decorations and are ready to use next week as a real opportunity to learn about Royalty and our amazing Queen through books, film, art, craft, History and much much more! I know the children are looking forward to their picnic and party and I can’t wait to show you the photos of the celebrations. Let’s hope they learn lots too!

We are thrilled that the Dogs Trust are visiting us too, watch this space! It is going to be an active last week of term.

I know I have already shared the amazing efforts of Year 6 but it deserves another mention… Well done to the pupils in Clarkes, Parks and Attenborough for raising a whopping £1004.11 in ‘Spelling Bee’ sponsorship. In addition to being great spellers ,Year 6 have been fantastic mathematicians, see above Parks making maths games in teams and having fun playing the too!

The children above are in EYFS and they are also budding mathematicians. What super number sentences, well done! What fantastic work.

Finally, we will ensure that you know what day your child will have PE next term so we can trial coming into school with our PE kits on. In addition to this, we will be sending the timetable out for swimming and look forward to sharing the dates of sports day… and you will be invited!

Please continue to read the bulletin as it has important events, key dates and messages that are changed frequently, don’t miss out!

Thank you again for your continuous support,

Have a lovely weekend.
