Head of School update 11.2.22

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to the final Head’s update this term. It has certainly whizzed by!

I would like to begin by saying a huge thankyou, our Number Day event raised a super £199.25 for the NSPCC. We are so proud of the children’s engagement throughout the day and their positive attitudes towards supporting a charity. Thank you to parents, the costumes were amazing!

Year 2 have been learning about the Great Fire of London this term. Pictured above is the celebration display of the art work and home learning that Gandhi class have produced. Isn’t it just amazing? Miss Dowling and Mrs Cooper are really proud of the pupils efforts and enthusiasm.

‘Tiny town’ visited Foundation classes and they had an amazing time…

More photos will be added to our Facebook page.

Mrs Irving, Mr Dawson and myself were thrilled and very proud to attend Time to Dance on Wednesday. We are always impressed by our pupils as they always give their very best, support each other and do amazing routines!  It was a special event as not only was it a 20 year celebration for the festival but it has been a very long time since we have been able to attend such events due to the pandemic. A real sense of community, passion and togetherness was evident… an emotional night!

I would like to say well done to our 3 trainee teachers this term, they have worked incredibly hard and have become part of the King Offa team. They have enjoyed their teaching experiences and learning with other professionals.

The children in Year 6 will be venturing off to Blacklands farm on the first day back from the break (Tuesday 22nd February) I know they will have a fabulous time. Equally, the children staying at school have an amazing time planned too!

I hope that you are able to enjoy some family time over the break and I look forward to welcoming the children back to start Term 4. (Reminder: INSET day is Monday 21.2.22)

Best wishes,

Miss N Baker
