Head’s Update 18.6.21

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to this week’s update.

I cannot believe that the children have been back two weeks already! They have settled back into school life and have been working incredibly hard.

Mr Smith has been busy preparing and ensuring the pool is ready for swimming daily. The children have been super stars and have very quickly got into class routines. The swimming teachers are impressed with the level of enthusiasm and great learning behaviours, well done to all of the children. It really does take a lot of organisation so thank you to the adults who have helped make this happen and thank you to you for supporting us too!

Tiny Town was the talk of the school last week in Reception. It was fabulous! The children were able to explore and experience a variety of role play areas from the police station to a bakery. The vets was extremely popular! As you can see in the photos above, the children had a fantastic time dressing up and getting into role.

We are delighted that we are going ahead with sports day this term as we know how disappointed the children were to miss out last year. However, we are sadly unable to invite spectators. We will ensure that you have an update and we will share photos of events etc. when we are able to. We plan to organise ‘bubble’ events and year groups will have different days in which they can take part in the fun. Please make sure children have their kits the week beginning the 12th July (for the whole week).

Mrs King is organising an opportunity for her Ceilidh dancers to perform at a local nursing home ( in the garden of course) and I hope it will be a great experience for the children and a treat for the residence. Watch this space!

Year 6 are in for a treat next week as their activity week begins. They are looking forward to Go Ape, beach school, Story tellers, scientists and much much more.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss N Baker
