Head of School Update – 1st April 2021

Happy Easter!

Darling and Bell class have absolutely loved their new class members… The chicks have been a delight and the children have shown interest, compassion, curiosity and importantly a caring nature towards these fluffy delights. What an eggcellent opportunity for learning about new life!  They have certainly been the talk of the school.

As we reach the Easter holidays, may I take the opportunity to thank all parents and carers for their support and understanding. I know that some children have found the transition back in to school a challenge but together we have worked out ways of overcoming these tricky times. I’m already looking forward to welcoming all pupils back in term 5. It has been fantastic having the whole school back together.

I must also mention my appreciation to you all for kindly responding to the ‘DO NOT PARK’ message. It was so much safer for the children outside the front of the school, may it continue! In addition, our cars were a little safer and less damaged too! We have been in touch with the East Sussex County Council and Health and Safety team regarding the speed humps and the potholes. Watch this space!

I mentioned in my last post that we would be getting some much needed work on the roof over the next few weeks. Scaffolding will be erected over the Easter holidays and I hope I can share some photos with you before the children return.

Finally, I hope that you will join me in welcoming Mrs Bennett (Pastoral Assistant) and Mrs Peters (Teaching Assistant) to the team. I know they are looking forward to meeting you and the children at King Offa.

Have a very lovely break; enjoy the sunshine and each other’s company. I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 20th April 2021.

Take care,

Miss N Baker
