Head of School Update – 19th March 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to this week’s update.

The children are working hard to settle back into routines and the teachers are enjoying having a full class once more. All classes have impressed me this week

It has been a particular delight to see how EYFS are learning about number…I did enjoy my visit to their shop! Year 1 and 2 teachers have been working hard to deliver our new way of teaching Phonics and Miss Malone has been extremely proud of her team and has been impressed with the children and their learning behaviours. Well done KS1. Pankhurst class have been getting creative, here they are pictured working on their rainforest collages.

We are excited to announce that we are interviewing for an additional pastoral assistant to join the nurture team. We understand how stressful the last year has been on everyone and especially our pupils and we want to ensure that every child has the emotional support they deserve.  We have been overwhelmed with applications; I am looking forward to appointing a new member of staff to the team.

The Senior Leadership team continue to monitor their phase year groups and subject areas. Mrs Meader was very happy to see that PSHE has been a priority. She was delighted to see a wide range of photos and practical activities especially.

Congratulations to our Kings and Queens, I hope you enjoy receiving your personal text message to let you know if it is your child!

As always, please do take a look at the weekly bulletin for any updates and messages, it is extremely informative!

Have a lovely weekend.

Kind regards,

Miss N Baker
