Head of School Update – 12th March 2021
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to this week’s update. It has been so lovely to be able to welcome all of the children back to school and be together once more. It was fabulous to celebrate World Book Day together and well done to Zachary (EYFS) William (Y1) Izzie (Y4) and Isabella (Y6) who won the best costume prize.
As I am sure you will be aware, the children have settled beautifully back into school life and I am super proud of every child, thank you for the smiles! There is certainly a lovely buzz back in the school building. The Senior Leadership team have been popping into their phase year groups and have been impressed with the level of engagement the children have shown and how hard they have been working. Great job.
This week the teacher staff enjoyed a Maths Mastery training session after school and are very excited about our journey towards a whole school ‘Maths mastery’ approach. Mrs Osman and Miss Langton have been working hard to prepare for this, thank you to both of them for the fantastic training. We will share more information with you about Maths mastery and how you can support your child to become an expert mathematician soon.
In other news, I am delighted to say that we will finally be getting the much needed roof maintenance that we have been waiting for. It is exciting news for us and believe that this could potentially start during the Easter Holidays. School will look a little different on return (plenty of scaffolding) but I will keep you posted on the works and send you some photos over the holiday so you can share them with your children. Some work will be taking place during the school day but we have plans in place to make sure that disruption to learning is kept to an absolute minimum.
Congratulations to our first Kings and Queens, I hope you enjoy receiving your personal text message to let you know if it is your child!
As always, please do take a look at the weekly bulletin for any updates and messages, it is extremely informative!
Have a peaceful weekend.
Miss N Baker
