Dear Parents and Carers,
I would like to say a huge thank you, your children have been quite amazing today! They came in beautifully, some a little nervous but I must say the school has been a calm and positive place to be in with plenty of eager children ready to learn. Lots of time has been dedicated to hand washing and santising too!
We will reduce contact as much as we possibly can but individual pupils within ‘bubbles’ will not be socially distancing. We have followed the guidance that states that where possible pupil’s tables will are arranged facing the front so that face to face contact is reduced. All efforts will and have been made to ensure ‘Phase bubbles’ do not mix.
This is of course a learning curve for us all, we will be constantly reviewing the timetable and dealing with issues as they arise. Thank you in advance for your support.
Please can I ask you to help us… please be on time and in the correct zone for drop off and collection. EYFS (Reception classes) will now be asked to use the Pirate ship gate as their entrance and exit- this should help with some of the human traffic! And please remember to socially distance outside the school gates.
EYFS (Reception) Start time 8.45am (EYFS PIRATE SHIP) – 2.45pm finish time (EYFS PIRATE SHIP GATE – parents can wait on the ‘fake grass’)
Years 1 Start time 8.50am (EYFS ENTRANCE) – 2.50pm finish time (EYFS ENTRANCE)
Years 2 Start/finish time 8.55am -3.00pm (EYFS Entrance)
Years 3 and Years 4 Start/finish time 8.45am – 3.00pm (Downs Road gates)
Years 5 and Years 6 Start/finish time 8.35am -2.50pm (Downs Road gates)
Thank you for your patience and understanding, I know this is a challenging time.
Miss N Baker
