Acting Heads Update 12th June 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been delightful to welcome back some groups of pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 this week and we are all so proud of how they have settled so incredibly well. It has been lovely to see smiling faces and a real eagerness to be ready to learn once more in the school building. It is a shame that I am unable to welcome you all back at the moment but I do look forward to when this may be possible. We do miss you all and hope that you are looking after each other!

On a positive note, I am excited to say that after a very long wait, the Key stage 1 hall ceiling is fixed and looking beautiful! A  very big thank you to Mrs Gonet and the site team for organising this (which turned out to be) mammoth task! Although we made the scaffolding look attractive with fabulous art and designs created by the children, we were extremely happy to see the glorious ceiling and hall floor once more! We are thrilled!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank pupils, parents and staff for adapting to the new routines, which I understand remains a challenge for us all. It is important that we continue to keep safe in the current climate and work together as best as we can to achieve the same outcome. It has run smoothly, so far, with the new times and structures to our day so a big well done to all the pupils, parents and staff that have helped to make this happen! Thank you also for sending in your Home/School agreements, this helps us to continue to be consistent with how things are run at this unusual time.

Hopefully lots of the children attending school have or will be receiving their certificates for working hard at ‘being bubble ready’ which means they have been super stars at following the new rules… Well done!

Kind regards,

Miss Natasha Baker
