Head of School Update – Friday 12th October 2018

This week, pupils in Year 2 enjoyed a fabulous school visit to Paradise Park in Newhaven. The pupils studied the fabulous museum, learning about the creatures and animals who once lived on Earth, centuries ago. The woolly mammoth was a favourite for many! Thank you to all of the staff and our helpers.

Well done to all of the children who have completed their termly Paragon projects – there have been many of you! If your child has not quite finished their project, it’s not too late, and can still be brought into school next week. Thank you to parents and families for their support with these. The projects have been excellent, as always.

I hope you will be able to join us for one, some or all of the Paragon events taking place in school next week. The staff and children have been working extremely hard in preparation for the events and are thoroughly looking forward to sharing their Unit 1 Paragon learning with you! There will be lots of learning to be shared, including a jewellery-making workshop and a performance all about the Stone Age. Please look out for the Paragon videos which will be appearing on the school’s Facebook page, throughout the week.

Good luck to all of the boys and girls representing the King Offa Football Team this afternoon. They are taking part in a tournament at Glenleigh Park, with many of the other local schools in Bexhill. I will update you with the results next week…

Next week is the last week of Term 1! It really has flown by! We are looking forward to finding out whether we already have any Word Millionaires and to find out the results of this term’s Attendance Challenge.

A reminder to you all that we finish on Friday 19th October 2018. Term 2 starts on Monday 29th October 2018.

Wishing you all an enjoyable weekend!
