Weekly Update – 15th June 2018
There has been lots of ‘practicing’ in school. Our super singers in Year Four have been practicing incredibly hard, in preparation for the ‘Summer Sing’, taking place at the De La Warr Pavillion on Tuesday. The show includes singers from the Year Four classes across the Bexhill and Rother schools and include some summer-time and feel-good favourites, including, ‘Let’s Get Loud’, ‘Under The Sea’ and ‘Summer Holiday’. Thank you to Miss Langton and Miss David for all of their hard work. Parents of pupils in Year Four are invited to attend. The show involving King Offa pupils starts at 7.00pm. Tickets can be purchased directly through the theatre. Our Year Six pupils have been practicing hard, too, for the Paragon Spectacular, which takes place in just over a week’s time. The performance involves Year Six pupils from all of the schools within the Trust and students from The Gatwick School, too. This year, pupils from King Offa will perform the famous Hornpipe dance and a special episode of ‘This Is Your Life’, with a famous historical guest. If today’s dress rehearsal is a sign of what’s to come, it is sure to be a great event!
Next week, our Year Six pupils will be visiting London for the week, as part of their residential visit. I know how much they are looking forward to it; with a busy week scheduled, they are sure to have an amazing time. The children will be staying in Holland Park and have visits planned to many of the local museums, The Golden Hinde, London Eye and the chance to watch the fabulous production of The Lion King! We wish them a safe and enjoyable trip and look forward to seeing them on their return to school next Friday
Just to remind you that Friday 15th June 2018 is an INSET Day for all pupils and we will look forward to seeing all pupils in school on Monday 18th June 2018.
Thank you for your continued support of the school and the staff! Enjoy the slightly longer weekend.
