Weekly Update – 4th May 2018

As I write, the sun is getting ready to join us for the weekend!

Thank you to all of you who joined us for yesterday’s ‘Big Breakfast Special’. As always, it was extremely well attended and a great festival of delicious breakfast food and fun! To see so many families enjoying breakfast together is certainly what we aim to achieve by running the sessions. It’s an important time of the day, but one that can be busy and where breakfast can be forgotten. Making time for it certainly helps to improve the start that a child has to their day.

On Wednesday, pupils in Year 5 had a fantastic day out at Preston Manor,  Brighton, as you can see from our main photograph. As part of their learning through Paragon, they attended in their traditional Victorian outfits and learned about the rules and traditions faced as a Victorian child. As you can see, it wasn’t always much fun!

You will notice on this week’s bulletin that the school attendance for this year is currently 96.0%; an extremely high percentage. I’d like to extend my thanks to you all in supporting the school in aiming for our attendance to be as high as it can be.

A reminder that school will be closed on Monday 7th May 2018 for the Bank Holiday. We will re-open on Tuesday 8th May, at the normal time.

I hope you enjoy the sunshine and best wishes for the weekend…and the extra day!
