Weekly Update – 29th March 2018
We finished a fantastic term with a special ‘Certificate of Merit’ assembly. Pictured, are the twenty-eight children (two from each class), chosen by their teachers, who were awarded a ‘White’ certificate for exceptional effort and learning across the past term. We are extremely proud of all the winners, chosen for a whole host of reasons, including being outstanding role-models, developing confidence and independence and always giving their best effort. We also welcomed our latest members to the Accelerated Reader ‘Word Millionaire’s Club’ – seven new children were enrolled!
Today, we welcomed senior staff visitors from Glenleigh Park, one of our sister schools, to share and admire the fantastic learning opportunities across the school. Children were focused, engaged and productive, in all classes. It’s always a pleasure to share the success of the school.
This week, we have enjoyed sharing and presenting our Unit 4 Paragon learning. Events have included a traditional tea-party and a Japanese inspired origami workshop, to name just a few. Thank you to all of you have attended across the week. The children highly value you being part of their learning.
Finally, we said ‘Goodbye’ to Miss Perkins today, who is leaving King Offa after five years. She has provided so many children, particularly with their earliest learning experiences and we are thank you for the contribution she has given to the school. I’m sure you will join me in wishing her well for the future.
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all the children and their families a very relaxing and well earned Easter break. Thank you for your continued support of the school. School re-opens on Monday 16th April 2018. I look forward to seeing you then!
