Headteachers Weekly Update – 16th December 2016

A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported the school at our Christmas Fair this afternoon. Laura and her team did a fabulous job getting things organised and we are very grateful for all the donations we received. We’ll let you know soon how much was raised and how we’ll use the money to support the children’s learning. We will make sure that raffle prizes are given to the children on Monday if you weren’t here to collect your prize at the end of the fair.

There has been an excited buzz around school this week as Christmas has drawn closer. Our Christmas dinner yesterday was a great success. The kitchen staff managed to cook and serve three hundred and sixty school dinners with the help of the school staff. The year five and six children helped serve and clear up the dinners for the younger children and were a real credit to themselves in the way they worked as a team and took care of the younger pupils.

All the children have been busy learning the songs that they will be sharing with you at their concerts next week and I have to say they sound amazing. Fingers crossed they will be able to perform just as well at St Stephens Church on Tuesday.

Enjoy the weekend,

James Freeston
