Head of School Weekly Update – 16th January 2015

This week started with a whole school assembly on the theme of tolerance. We watched this clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEIn8GJIg0E which shows a rather dangerous looking crossroads in a city in Ethiopia. There are no traffic lights or road signs and yet cars, buses and pedestrians all manage to get across it without coming to harm. We talked about how everyone has to be prepared to compromise and take note of other people’s views and wishes. In today’s assembly we reflected on how tolerant we had all been of the weather this week and the wet playtimes we have had to put up with!

We welcomed visitors from Castledown school in Hastings on Wednesday. They enjoyed a tour of the school and the chance to talk to our academy ambassadors about their learning and our Paragon curriculum. They went away very impressed and commented on how focused and hard working the children were.

Finally a big well done to Mrs Osman and the children in Ravens class who performed brilliantly in assembly on Wednesday!
