I am delighted to be able to welcome you to King Offa Primary Academy. We are very proud of our school and hope that you find the information here useful. Please also look at our Facebook page to see all the exciting things that happen here every day. If you have any questions please contact the School Office.
King Offa converted to Academy status in September 2012. We are one of four schools in East Sussex run by Aurora Academies Trust. The school is over one hundred years old and we are very proud of the history and heritage of King Offa. Whilst enjoying the charm and character of such a well-established school, we also always aim to be looking forwards and preparing our children for life in the twenty first century.
Our links with parents, carers and wider family are very important to us. We know that educating children is our joint responsibility and we value the support of all our families. Our Paragon curriculum is not only exciting and engaging for children but also provides many opportunities for parents to get involved in the learning that goes on every day at school.
In June 2018, Ofsted visited us and graded us as ‘Good’ in all areas. We are working hard on achieving an ‘Outstanding’ judgement at our next inspection. In the summer of 2019, we achieved above the national average in key areas, including 80% of Year 6 pupils achieving the expected standard in Reading, 85% in Writing and 85% in Maths.
If you would like to find out more or come and pay us a visit please contact our school office. We are a popular school and many year groups are full but we but still have spaces in some classes.
Aurora Education Trust (AET) has sponsored Aurora Academies Trust (AAT) to operate four academies in East Sussex.
